BAYANIHAN LIVES ON @ JOSE BASTIDA BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022
by: Glenn L. Dino, LPT
The spirit of communal unity and
cooperation or “BAYANIHAN” lives on, as Jose Bastida Elementary School is one
with the Department of Education in launching this year’s Brigada Eskwela. With the theme: ” Tugon sa
Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral.” Launched last August 1, 2022, the JBES
Brigada Eskwela activities enjoins stakeholders to gather together to help
prepare the school for the upcoming new School Year.
With overwhelming excitement, the Brigada Eskwela is
considered as a new milestone for every teacher, stakeholder, and parent
especially the learner, for this will be the first time to have face to face-to-face
in the new normal set–up amidst this challenging pandemic.
Thankfully,
with the undying support of our GPTA, our school’s BE
has been considered a success. They have relentlessly taken the lead in
our schools’ major activities, and meetings and represented the PTA in the planning
and implementation of activities. Through their generosity and support, The JBES
considers this not only a best practice but also an education partner along with
the other stakeholders, like local government officials, civic groups and
non-government organizations, parents, barangay leaders, teachers, and those in
the community who contributed in one way or another. The school has vaulted past challenges and
difficulties in adapting to the new normal mode of education. This gives us a distinct
image that we Filipinos, could rise above any form of calamity or crisis
because we help and support one another. And for this we are grateful.
The launching of the event was spearheaded by our School Brigada
Coordinator, Mrs. Judith A. Taladoc for Rekorida sa Brigada. Alongside our very
supportive and energetic Principal Dr. Maria H. Latiada, who presided over the
opening, and Hon. Jessie Mar Y. Culaste, Barangay Captain of Barangay Dumoy gave
a message of support and commitment highlighting the collaborative efforts of
numerous partnerships involved at the local level.
The spirit of Collaboration and Cooperation is very much inflamed,
for there were numerous partners and stakeholders also present and signified
continued support for the upcoming school year, along with those who were present
was Brgy. Kagawad and Educational Committee Chairperson, Arlyn Adlawan, Audrey Jan
Alcaya, HR Assistant Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, Inc., Mngr. Emilio T. Mozol,
World Cup Security Agency, Representatives from Nutri-Asia Company and Julu
Enterpises respectively. With Mr. Edgardo G. Comendido, Jr., GPTA President
with the parents alongside teachers and staff working together by cleaning and
disinfecting surfaces; trimming trees and donating cleaning agents, including
liquid soap, powders, alcohol disinfectants sprays, face masks and other
supplies making the school not only aesthetically presentable but ready for the
learners and accomplishing its vision, mission, and goals set by the Department
of Education.
This years, BRIGADA ESKWELA has always been an evidence that one
of the core values of the Filipino culture, the Bayanihan still lives on. And we could fervently say MABUHAY ANG JOSE
BASTIDA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! MABUHAY ANG MGA STAKEHOLDERS! MABUHAY ANG
PHILIPPINAS! MABUHAY ANG MGA PILIPINO!
