Christmas Party 2011

Liturgy O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye, to Bethlehem. Come and behold Him, born the King of Angels O come, let us adore Him O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Reading: Matthew 2:15-20 New International Version (NIV) 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”[a] 16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. 17 Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: 18 “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”[b] The Return to Nazareth 19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt 20 and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reflection: When we celebrate Christmas, do we remember the poor? On Christmas, do we remember the hungry? On Christmas, do we see the baby Jesus in the sick and aged? On Christmas, do we remember people who have ill feeling to us? On Christmas, do we remember the lonely, and the outcast people in our society? On Christmas, do we remember the Prisoners? For unto us the child is born. "Jesus has come and we celebrate His coming on this season of Christmas. But Jesus did not remain as a child, He grew up and taught us what is really to love which is the very essence and message of Christmas. Do you want to give gifts to Jesus on this Christmas? Jesus said in the gospel, "Whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40)
Hark the herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn King! Peace on earth and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled" Joyful, all ye nations rise Join the triumph of the skies With the angelic host proclaim: "Christ is born in Bethlehem" Hark! The herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn King!"

Recollection 2011

The Words of Welcome
Ate Floi Cometa - Campus Minister

The Gift of Person: Kuya Teodi

We were reminded that the HEART is the favorite dwelling place of God.

"The Christ in Me meets the Christ in You"

By Our Name we became Children of God, and that with Dignity it is rooted in the image and likeness of God , with its core value which is Respect.

Faith - The strength of the weak and the weakness of the strong.  It is also our personal response to God, and we have to remember that we are always reminded to change our ways, it is the call to conversion, a change of Heart, for the Christian life is an endless conversion.

With its dimensions we are made to understand that THE HEAD - is to know the doctrines, the education in faith, THE HEART - to love, the worship, the sacraments and THE HAND - to serve, the Morals, the Commandments.

And so we must LOVE, strengthen the LOVE for OTHERS. As Mother Theresa of Calcutta said when she summarized the gospel into five word, "YOU DID IT TO ME".  Which is also in the Gospel Matthew 25: 40. And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

And so this is a Challenge to all of us. In this recollection we are challenged to LOVE - to love GOD and OTHERS that our ways should be a reflection of GOD's GREAT LOVE.

See your self, reflect, do you have that LOVE?
